Stick on your favourite Offspring record and pray to your (Bad) Religion of choice, because SEGA just resurrected Crazy Taxi’s social media accounts for the first time in seven years, folks.
The Japanese publisher uploaded a five-second video of a ‘TAXI’ light flickering into life. It’s the first time it’s posted on X or Facebook since 2019.

Of course, we know the company’s been working on rebooting the iconic Hitmaker arcade series for some time now, with some speculation suggesting it may be an online multiplayer game.
Crazy Taxi is one of my all-time favourite games; in fact, I played my Dreamcast copy so much growing up, the GD-ROM no longer boots properly.
While I didn’t spend as much time playing its sequels, I’ve been gagging to see how SEGA reboots this series for years now.
Given the timing of this tease, I reckon a State of Play or Summer Game Fest reveal seems inevitable; the Xbox Showcase is also a possibility, considering Crazy Taxi 3 launched as an Xbox exclusive in 2002.
Readers, I’ve waited a long time for this. How’s your hype holding out? Are you similarly enthusiastic? Let us know below.
