‘There’s always been trouble. It’s scary.’

An Edinburgh man has tragically died after an alleged assault in South Queensferry.
The incident took place around 6.10am on Friday, May 22 on Morison Gardens. Emergency services attended but the 54-year-old man died at the scene.
Officers are treating the death as suspicious and a postmortem examination will be carried out in due course. A 58-year-old man has been arrested and inquiries are ongoing.
The entire road has been cordoned off with police tape, with a partial closure of Stewart Terrace, as officers conduct inquiries.
Officers in white hazmat suits can be seen in the area while uniformed officers patrol the entryways.

An eye witness said: ““The whole street is crawling with police. I’ve seen loads of plain clothes officers canvassing and more and more forensics keep turning up, I’ve seen at least half a dozen of them! I don’t know what’s happened but it seems quite big.”
Another told Edinburgh Live: “My daughter-in-law phoned me from up the road and asked what was happening in my street. I said ‘what’s happening in my street!’ I didn’t even notice. That was about 7 o’ clock this morning.
“It’s very very unusual. It used to be a lovely street.”
