Saratoga Springs, NY (WRGB) — The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is set to host Casino Night on Monday, August 18, from 6 PM to 9:30 PM. This event aims to raise funds for the Museum and the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF), with sponsorship from Live Oak Plantation and the Jockeys’ Guild, and catering by Mama Mia’s.
Casino Night promises an evening of high-stakes fun for a worthy cause. Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere throughout the Museum, featuring celebrity dealers such as Javier Castellano, Dylan Davis, Romero Maragh, and John Velazquez. The event will offer buffet and cocktail-style fare donated by Mama Mia’s, with limited seating available. Beverages including beer, wine, water, and soda will be served, though no liquor will be available.
First Fill Spirits will conduct a tasting and sell special-edition Dornoch bourbon bottles, with all proceeds benefiting the PDJF and the Museum. Additional attractions include a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, door prizes, and giveaways. Cash-only gaming tables will be available, and other jockeys expected to attend include Junior Alvarado, Kendrick Carmouche, Katie Davis, Frankie Dettori, Manny Franco, Jose Lezcano, Lane Luzzi, Jose Ortiz, and Ricardo Santana, Jr.
A book giveaway of “Have I Got a Story for You” by Tommy Roberts will be available while supplies last. It is important to note that this is a charity casino night; participants will not receive cash for play but will win chips to exchange for prize tickets.
Ticket options include $100 for Museum members, $150 for general admission, and $175 for admission plus an individual Museum membership. There are no physical tickets for the event; a registration list with names will be at the door. For inquiries, contact info@racingmuseum.net.
