Cleveland Police detectives are investigating the death of a man found with serious injuries on Ayton Crescent in Eston, with five people now arrested

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident in Eston, Teesside. Detectives from Cleveland Police are investigating the death of a man on Ayton Crescent in Eston.
Emergency services were called at around 11pm on Saturday, May 23, to the street where a man was found with significant injuries. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The force has since confirmed a 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and conspiring to commit murder. Following a manhunt for an alleged second suspect, a 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 65-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and obstructing a constable. While two women, aged 67 and 28, have both been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All five remain in police custody on Monday afternoon, May 25, for questioning. Police remain at the scene on Ayton Crescent, while the investigation continues. There will be an increased and visible police presence in the area to provide reassurance to the community, reports Teesside Live.
Superintendent Daryll Tomlinson said previously that this is being treated as an “isolated incident” and there is no wider risk to the public. On Monday, he said: “We are continuing our investigation today and have made four further arrests. There will be an increased presence in the area with visible patrols from our officers.
