Flood Mary to offer Datchet residents advice about flooding

Datchet residents and people living in surrounding areas will be able to get flooding advice from a leading campaigner.

Mary Long-Dhonau, perhaps better known as Flood Mary, has experienced severe flooding herself and she will give out tips from her Flood Mobile.

Hundreds of homes in Datchet and nearby areas suffered serious flooding from the River Thames in February 2014, which one resident said created scenes like those from a “horror movie”.

Flood Mary and her Flood Mobile will be at Datchet Recreation Ground from 11:00 BST to 17:00 as part of an event organised by Datchet Parish Council.
