Ms Barraclough said: “I am of course delighted at being one of the regular artists on show.”

Born in Scarborough and now living in Liversedge, she left teaching to focus on her own creative practice.
As a former pupil and artist in residence at Heckmondwike Grammar School she studied at Batley College of Art and Bretton Hall and was therefore engaged in art from a very early age.
She told the T&A that she is inspired by the vibrancy and fluidity of David Hockney’s work, having been fortunate enough to visit his studio along with her students.

Her preference is sketching and working on location the balance of her time is spent in her Liversedge based studio.
Miss Barraclough’s work is characteristically experimental and painterly with inspiration drawn from a diverse range of subjects including the Bradford area.

Travel, landscape and the natural world underpin her work while elements of texture, collage and gold leaf result in a multi faceted feel inspiring vibrant luminous paintings brimming with interest and creative freedom.
The local artist’s imaginative use of colour, shape and form, reflect her past experience in textile design and with an eye for colour and composition the contemporary artworks are lively, happy and widely appreciated.
