Krypton, the action-packed adventure series that ‘gets more compelling with each episode’, has landed a new streaming home in the UK.
Set around 200 years before the birth of Superman, Krypton tells the story of the Man of Steel’s grandfather Seg-El and his heroic quest to save his home planet.
While the latest Superman offering is currently showing on the big screen, the prequel series premiered in 2018, running for just two seasons before its cancellation in 2019.
Cameron Cuffe stars as Seg-El and is joined on the cast by Cameron Cuffe, Georgina Campbell, Aaron Pierre, Ann Ogbomo, Rasmus Hardiker, and Hannah Waddingham.
Described as an “epic legacy”, the show is now available to stream on ITVX, meaning fans in the UK can catch both seasons for free with ads.

Season two of Krypton boasts a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes from 14 reviews, with critics praising the SYFY series for its worldbuilding and character development.
ComicBook.com said: “All in all, Krypton continues to use elements of the Superman mythology incredibly well, building a rich world and populating it with likable characters – or at least those you like to hate. It remains incredibly exciting to watch week to week.”
“Season Two’s narrative landscape, the humanity (er, Kryptonian) propelling Krypton onward gets more compelling each episode,” penned Paste Magazine.

JoBlo said: “The second season of Krypton is an improvement over the first if only because it is now embracing the comic book elements that people want to see realized in live action.”
“We’re not in want of superhero stories,” penned Salon. “But this is a well-done prequel that adds some dirty layers to the history of a comic book icon primarily known as a Boy Scout.”
Lyles Movie Files wrote: “The season kept getting better as it progressed and it’s a shame it got cancelled before a third season could further expand the series.”
Krypton is now streaming on ITVX.
