A school building on fire following an attack by a Russian drone in the Novgorod-Siversky district, Ukranian emergency services say
As a Russian drone hit a block of flats in Romania overnight, the Russia-Ukraine war continues.
In Ukraine, authorities have reported a series of Russian attacks overnight which destroyed a school building and left several injured.
A fire broke out after a Russian drone struck a school building in the Semenivska area of the Novgorod-Siversky district, reports Ukraine’s state emergency service. No injuries were reported.
The emergency service also reports that three people, including two 16-year-olds, were injured following explosions in the Kharkiv region.
Elsewhere, 16 residential buildings were damaged and one person was injured following a Russian airstrike in the Donetsk region, the emergency service says.
It reports that three districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region in Ukraine were also attacked, and a 60-year-old man was injured.
Meanwhile, in the Volgograd region of Russia, a man was killed and two people were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack, the area’s governor Andrei Bocharov says in a post on Telegram.
Russian state news agency Tass, citing authorities, later reported that a woman who was in hospital following the attack died in hospital.
Tass, citing the Russian defence ministry, also reports that 208 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight across Russia and the Sea of Azov.
