Josh Adams has backed Cardiff youngster Tom Bowen to be called up to the Wales squad sooner rather than later.
The 20-year-old wing has been a revelation for Cardiff since breaking into the first team with his blistering pace often cutting defences to shreds.
Bowen will play for Wales U20s in the World Rugby U20s Championship this summer but Adams believes he will become a senior international in the not too distant future.
“Absolutely he could,” said Adams when asked if Bowen has the potential to play for Wales at senior level.
“Certainly he could. I think whenever Bows has been given the opportunity to play he’s done nothing wrong at all.

“He’s always threatening when he has the ball. That’s Bows’ point of difference if you like.
“It’s like his USP; it’s how good he is moving with the ball. He’s agile and his centre of gravity helps that.
“We have a couple of digs about that but he takes it well.
“He’s super agile on his feet, he’s quick, he’s got great explosive power.
“As a winger he ticks most boxes in terms of that.”

Bowen is one of the deadliest finishers in the United Rugby Championship but his aerial game is a work in progress.
But Adams insists he has the right attitude to improve.
“There’s areas around the nitty gritty bits of the game which he’s really working hard at,” said the experienced Wales wing.
“That’s probably the most impressive thing is. He’s always wanted to learn.
“He’s always picking people’s brains and he’s always asking questions.
“He’s got no dramas with sticking his hand up and saying ‘lads, how do I do this right or is this right?’
“He’s got no problem. He takes feedback very well and he’s very coachable.
“Absolutely Tom is someone who will progress to be a full international in the not too distant future.”
