A CHARMING Scottish town has been named among the cheapest seaside property spots in the UK.
Property firm RightMove provided a list of the most affordable locations across Britain in its annual national rundown.

The experts analysed more than 100 coastal areas to compile a list of the top ten most affordable seaside towns.
And one Scottish location made the list, coming in at ninth position.
Ayr, which is steeped in Robert Burns history, offers spectacular seaside views across the water to the Isle of Arran.
But it’s not just the picturesque landscapes that attract buyers, with the average price of a home coming in at £157,754.

All of the other spots on the list were located in England, with Peterlee in County Durham topping the list with an average price of £120,657.
Grimsby, in Lincolnshire, followed in second position with a property price of around £133,706 on average.
Then Ashington, in Northumberland, rounded out the top three with a very close average price of £133,775.
In fourth spot in Bootle, Merseyside, with an average home costing £141,680, which is up by 11 per cent on this time last year.

Meanwhile, Blackpool, in Lancashire, was up by just one per cent with an average price of £142,277.
The remaining top five spots were made up of Fleetwood, Birkenhead, Workington, and Seaham.
Colleen Babcock, property expert at Rightmove, said: “The fastest-growing seaside markets this year show that demand for coastal homes in many areas remains resilient, even as overall price growth across the UK stays more modest.
“While some locations are seeing strong price increases, there are still many areas where living by the sea is more affordable, giving buyers a wider range of options depending on their budget.
“We’re also seeing that homes priced realistically continue to attract interest, particularly in locations where price growth is being supported by buyer demand.”
