The third round of singles action at the French Open is now complete at Roland Garros.

The women’s singles draw saw a big upset on Day 7, with defending champion Coco Gauff (4) losing in three sets to Anastasia Potapova 4-6, 7-6(1), 6-4. It is the earliest loss by a reigning women’s singles champion at Roland Garros since 2022.

Amanda Anisimova (6) also was upset in a third-set tiebreak to Diane Parry. It is Parry’s first fourth-round singles appearance at a Slam.

Naomi Osaka (16) prevailed in three sets over Iva Jovic (17) to advance to the fourth round at Roland Garros for the first time in her career. Osaka will face world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the fourth round, after she dominated Daria Kasatkina in straight sets 6-0, 7-5.

Frances Tiafoe (19) lost the first two sets of his match but stormed back to defeat Jaime Faria in five sets, 4-6, 6-7(2), 7-6(4), 6-1, 6-2 while Félix Auger-Aliassime (4) closed the day with a 5-7, 6-1, 7-6(4), 7-6(1) win over Brandon Nakashima (31).

Fourth round action begins Sunday.
