A man has been left fighting for his life following a stabbing in Gorton. Officers were called out to Trust Road at around 3.50pm on Sunday afternoon (May 31).
Greater Manchester Police says it received reports that a man had sustained several injuries following a suspected stabbing. It is believed that the suspects fled the scene on an electric bike.
GMP says the victim, a 23-year-old man, was rushed to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital for treatment this morning (Monday).

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident – or any relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage – is urged to come forward.
Detective Inspector Mark Hodgson, from GMP’s City of Manchester district, said: “This was a shocking incident which could have easily resulted in much more serious consequences – thanks to the prompt response of emergency service colleagues, the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“We believe that this was a targeted attack with no risk to the wider public, and our enquiries are continuing at pace to ensure those responsible are located and arrested. I would ask anyone with information to please get in touch with us as we continue with our work.”
