Love Island 2026 star Jasmine Muller has opened up about the split

One contestant from this year’s Love Island has a notably famous ex-partner who will ring a bell with many viewers.
The 13th series of the beloved dating programme made its return to ITV2 this week, promising another summer filled with romance and tension. Audiences watched as 12 fresh singles entered the Spanish villa, all hoping to discover their perfect match.
Among them is Jasmine Muller, who runs a fashion business. She’s already built quite a following, boasting over 150,000 fans across her social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok.
This won’t be her first brush with romance in the public eye, having previously been in a relationship with ex-Premier League footballer Hector Bellerin. But who exactly is he? What else has he achieved and what has Muller revealed about their time together? Here’s everything you need to know.

Héctor Bellerín Moruno is a Spanish professional footballer who operates as a right-back or wing-back. The 30 year old is currently on the books at La Liga side Real Betis, situated in Seville, reports OK!
He’s just marked his 100th appearance for the club. Receiving a commemorative framed shirt to celebrate the milestone, he posted a photograph on Instagram of the presentation, writing: “Another season, but not just another ordinary one. See you in a few months. Eat a lot and read a lot.” Bellerin’s footballing journey started with Barcelona’s youth academy in his hometown. At just 16, he made the switch to Premier League giants Arsenal, joining their youth setup and penning his first professional deal 12 months later.
He remained with the North London outfit for 11 years in total, though this included loan stints at Watford and Betis. During his time with the Gunners, he lifted three FA Cups and three Community Shields.
In 2022, he returned to his boyhood club Barcelona, featuring three times as they secured the La Liga championship. Subsequently, he had a period at Sporting before putting pen to paper with Real Betis. While he has represented the Spanish national side, with his most recent appearance in 2020, he was omitted from their World Cup 2026 squad.
He’s widely recognised for his diverse interests beyond football, with fashion and literature among his prominent pursuits. He recently appeared on the front of Man About Town Magazine, where the publication characterised him as “a fashion fanatic and brand owner, environmental activist, avid reader and aspiring writer – far from your average sportsman. The 30-year-old footballer certainly isn’t short of a pastime or two off the pitch.”

Bellerin has frequently received acclaim for his off-field endeavours. During a 2019 interview, he reflected on footballers’ duty to society. He said: “It’s nice to show what we have-our cars, our watches-but good to send a more meaningful message than ‘look how cool we are’.” According to the website Who’s Dated Who, Bellerin and Jasmine were together from 2018 until 2022. Prior to entering the Villa, she spoke candidly about their break up.
While the finer details of their romance remain private, Jasmine maintains that the pair parted ways on “really good terms”. She went on to say: “I have a lot of time for him. I think we left things on really good terms. There’s not really any drama or anything interesting to say about it because we both just have a lot of love for each other.
“It’s so long ago now that I don’t think about it on a day-to-day basis, but I’m sure that having lived that at such a young age has obviously prepared me. As have other things, I’ve been in the public eye with an online job since I was like 19.
“So it’s been a while of doing a public facing job, I guess. I don’t know if that’s the right way to put it, but I think I feel prepared and I feel like I know that people like to talk and it doesn’t really bother me too much.”
