A spoken word poet who came sixth in Britain’s Got Talent said he wanted to do a theatre tour and inspire people into the art form, regardless of their background.
Sonny Green, from Southend-on-Sea, was on the 19th season of the popular ITV show and impressed the judges with his poetry that explored what it means to be British.
While speaking to BBC Essex’s breakfast presenter Sonia Watson, Green said: “I would love to do a theatre tour, which is kind of coming together to be fair.
“It doesn’t matter what you sound like or what your regional accent is or what even your education is – but you can do it.”
