Police have been called to a ‘fight involving weapons’. They have closed The Strand, in Longton.
Yobs have been armed with metal bars and baseball bats.
It comes as air ambulances have landed off Kendrick Street and Forrister Street this lunchtime. The alarm was raised at 11.45am today.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “We are responding to a report of a fight involving weapons and have closed The Strand while we investigate. Officers were called following a report of a large group of people fighting in the area. Some of the men were described as holding metal bars and baseball bats. A cordon has been put in place and we’re advising people to avoid the area.”
