Chris Billam-Smith and Ryan Rozicki will clash in a cruiserweight main event to headline Zuffa Boxing 7, which is also Zuffa’s debut in the United Kingdom.

If you weren’t already planning to tune in today but love a good fight, you might want to set aside some time today, because Billam-Smith vs Rozicki has strong action potential. Sam Hickey vs Todd Tompkins by TKO in Round 2

Officially a TKO, but that’s because the referee rightly made no count. Make no mistake, Tompkins (4-1, 1 KO) was knocked out. Hickey (5-0, 2 KO) is a Scottish middleweight prospect, 26 years old so a bit old for where he’s at, but they’re marketing that as him being a “late bloomer.” They’re also marketing him being handsome, which is useful as long as the guy can fight at the end of the day. This was low-level, make no mistake about that, but it was a great KO.

Ivan Dychko def. Harvey Dykes by Split Decision

Dychko, now 35, fights like he hasn’t actually cared about boxing since losing to Joe Joyce in the Olympics 10 years ago. His debatable loss to Jermaine Franklin last September was awful to watch, and this bout with a game but way under-powered club fighter wasn’t any better. Worse, arguably. Dykes (7-1-1, 0 KO) went down in the first round but otherwise was safe enough, no urgency out of Dychko (16-1, 14 KO), the 6’9” Kazakh whose pro career has never really gotten out of the gate and isn’t gonna. Dychko’s upside at this point is probably “Tyson Fury tune-up,” which hey, that’s a payday. Anyway, it was an atrocious fight. Really miserable to watch. Saying it resembled sparring would be kind.
