The tragic incident unfolded when a deer was knocked down and gave birth to three fawns in the road in the village of Anmer, on the Sandringham Estate.
One surviving fawn was found “barely breathing” in the road by a member of the public at around 10pm on May 18 and was taken to the RSPCA East Winch Centre near King’s Lynn.

Despite the centre’s efforts, the deer died from its injuries.
The RSPCA branch is now urging drivers to be careful on the roads to try and prevent these tragic accidents from happening.
A spokesman for RSPCA East Winch said: “So many animals are breeding and foraging for their families this time of year.”
The team added that drivers should call the police if they have been involved in an accident with a deer or call their local teams if an injured deer is found.
