Tyrrell Hatton capped a memorable week at LIV Golf Andalucia by claiming a $4 million winner’s cheque after securing a two-shot victory at Valderrama on Sunday.
Playing in his first tournament since becoming a father, the 34-year-old Englishman delivered a composed final-round performance to finish at 11-under par, holding off Legion XIII captain Jon Rahm, who was cheered on by passionate home support throughout the week in Spain.
It proved to be a double celebration for Hatton and Legion XIII, with the team also claiming top honours in the team competition.
The victory marked Hatton’s second LIV Golf title and further strengthened his position as one of the league’s standout performers.
The win comes amid continued uncertainty surrounding LIV Golf’s future.

The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) will no longer fund the circuit beyond the current season, while some industry sources have indicated the league’s future could be decided sooner than expected.
However, other reports, including those from Flushing It’s Tom Hobbs, suggest a more optimistic outlook, with discussions reportedly centred around a revamped “LIV Golf 2.0” model featuring a streamlined format and reduced prize funds.
LIV Golf’s next scheduled event is LIV Golf UK at JCB following The Open later this summer, leaving a significant gap in the schedule during what could be a crucial period for the league’s long-term plans.
For now, though, the spotlight belongs to Hatton, who leaves Valderrama with a trophy, a $4 million payday and memories of a special victory in his first start as a new father.
