Katie-George Dunlevy and Linda Kelly took home the gold medal in the time-trial event at the UEC European Championships in Maniago, Italy.
The reigning world champions finished 0.75 seconds ahead of bikes from Great Britain and Italy respectively.
In their first year of competition together, Sinead Greenan and Alice Sharpe finished fourth in the WB category.
Other Irish medal success saw Heather Jameson (WC2) and Richael Timothy (WC3) take bronze in their respective categories.
A crash for Steve McGowan saw a strong start to the TT hampered, as he took 15th in the MH3 category. Allister MacSorley brought his hand bike home fifth in the MH4 class.
Recent World Cup medallists Damien Vereker and Mitchell McLaughlin took 8th in the MB category, while Ciaran O’Toole and Con Scully took 15th.
Racing in Italy continues tomorrow, as McGowan and MacSorley take on the hand bike road races.
