Pop icon and husband honeymoon on Irishman’s yachtPop sensation Dua Lipa and actor Callum Turner have celebrated their lavish Italian wedding with a honeymoon aboard Cork businessman Denis O’Brien’s luxury superyacht. The couple tied the knot at the medieval Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria, Sicily, in a three-day celebration estimated to have cost around €1.5 million. The intimate ceremony followed their formal marriage at Marylebone Town Hall in London.Sir Elton John performed his classic song ‘Your Song’ for the newlyweds, whilst Dua’s diamond-decorated wedding gown was personally designed by fashion legend Donatella Versace. The villa’s interior was adorned with hyacinths and peonies, with guests receiving cigarettes and handkerchiefs embroidered with the phrase, ‘Stay mad with me forever’.After the celebrations, which concluded with a 10-minute fireworks display, the couple boarded the 90-metre yacht Nero moored in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The superyacht, purchased by Cork telecoms magnate Denis O’Brien in 2014, can be rented for just under half a million euros per week. The luxury vessel boasts an expansive sun deck with Jacuzzi, 5.7-metre resistance pool, multiple dining areas, spacious lounges, cinema room, beauty salon and state-of-the-art gym. It sleeps 12 people, making it ideal for that dream party. The couple spent their first night alone as newlyweds aboard the opulent yacht off the beautiful Italian coast.
