Richie McCaw retired as arguably the greatest rugby player of all time, leading New Zealand to back-to-back Rugby World Cup titles and becoming synonymous with endurance, toughness and leadership.
Since stepping away from rugby, McCaw has transformed his physique dramatically, reportedly losing around 27kg as he pursued new challenges including endurance events and aviation.
The leaner, lighter version of the All Blacks legend looks almost unrecognisable compared to the battle-hardened flanker who dominated world rugby for over a decade.
