Grand Theft Auto 6 is on the horizon, and barring any changes in the next few months, it’s set to launch on 19th November, 2026.
That release date will be a momentous day for many, with millions booting up their PS5s to dive into GTA 6’s story and open world.
In fact, its arrival will be so impactful that at least one business is giving its employees the day off.
Burger Motorsports — an American retailer and manufacturer of car tuning parts and related products — has announced it’ll be “observing a temporary company-wide operational pause” on the day of the game’s release:
As you can see in the above post, the main reason for this move is because many members of staff had requested time off, and this was causing several scheduling conflicts that would impact “normal business operations.”
It isn’t a large company, but I suspect it won’t be alone in providing a day off for its workers. I imagine there will be many other businesses that concede defeat to GTA 6 on 19th November.
If enough people are planning to take time off, or play truant, in order to play Rockstar’s crime sandbox on day one, it could definitely cause some disruption.
