The Ring Magazine reports that its owner, Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority and one of the most powerful men in modern boxing, Turki Alalshikh, is hoping to stage a summit with the promoters involved with the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight, as well as sports network DAZN.
Alalshikh says he is hoping to create a clearer vision for the fight’s promotional specifics, allowing it to go ahead.
“I’ll do my best to do a meeting soon between my brothers Dana White, Nick Khan, Frank Warren, Eddie Hearn, and my partners and friends at DAZN to make peace and revolution for boxing,” the statement said.
“I hope I succeed & boxing fans see white smoke rise from the chimney.
“I want to do it before losing my memory. I’m afraid in 2028 or 2029 I’ll forget my name.”
