There’s a major shake-up happening with a supermarket store in Seaham, County Durham. Farmfoods, the popular frozen food and grocery store, is shutting its doors, but not before a huge closing-down sale.
The Farmfoods store in Seaham, County Durham, will shut on Sunday, June 28. However, this won’t be the end of the popular discount frozen store in County Durham.
A few days later, the supermarket chain will move into larger premises. This is reported to be in the former B&M store at Byron Place, with doors opening on July 2, as reported in the Express.
With a larger premises comes a larger staff roster. The move will see seven new jobs created for the local community.
Ahead of the closure, the shop has announced that on its final day, the branch will be selling all stock at half price.
A spokesperson for Farmfoods said: “Our new shop in Seaham at the Byron Place Shopping Centre will open Thursday, July 2 at 8am.
“Our current shop will close on Sunday, June 28, following a 50 per cent off all stock sale that day.
“The new shop – a relocation and upsize from our existing unit opposite – will offer our full range of branded and own-brand products, including frozen food, groceries, chilled foods, bread, milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, along with a range of household and other items.
The new store will be open at 8am Monday to Saturday, closing at 9pm on weekdays and 8pm on Saturday. It will be open from 11am til 5pm on Sunday.
The supermarket chain is known for selling bargain frozen food, groceries, household and beauty products across the UK.
With over 300 stores across the UK, it’s nice to see the North East branch getting an upgrade.
