Few England players have generated as much excitement as Manu Tuilagi.
When fit, he was one of the most destructive ball-carriers in world rugby and capable of producing moments that few others could replicate. At his peak, many believed he could become one of the greatest centres of the professional era.
The problem was availability. Injuries repeatedly interrupted his career and prevented him from establishing the sort of sustained excellence associated with England’s all-time greats. Despite that, many supporters still place him among the finest centres England has ever produced.

James Haskell was a very good England international and a key figure in Eddie Jones’ early success with the national side.
His versatility, physicality and work-rate made him a valuable asset, while his larger-than-life personality turned him into one of rugby’s most recognisable figures.
However, Haskell’s popularity and media profile have arguably boosted his standing beyond his actual achievements on the field.
