Wakefield Trinity have continued to build their squad for the 2026 season with the club announcing a fourth signing.

That man is Featherstone Rovers’ prop Jordan Williams with the 28-year-old becoming the first domestic piece of recruitment that Trin have announced ahead of the 2026 campaign.

So far, their signings have hailed from Down Under with NRL payers Tyson Smoothy and Jazz Tevaga both signing, as well as reserve grade player Tray Lolesio.

With the club pushing close to their overseas quota limit of ten, they’ve now turned to the domestic market and signed former London Broncos prop Williams, a man the club have chased after for a while.

A positive of the domestic recruitment is that Williams already has Super League experience, playing for London last year in their relegation campaign but spending much of his career in the Championship where he has become an established powerhouse.

Wakefield Trinity sign Featherstone Rovers prop

News of Williams’ signing was announced by the club via a press release, which read: “Wakefield Trinity can confirm the signing of Jordan Williams from Featherstone Rovers.

“The 28-year old joins Wakefield on a two-year deal that will run until the end of the 2027 season.”

His 13 Super League appearances last year add came as part of a team that featured current Trinity full-back Josh Rourke, another savvy piece of recruitment that Wakefield have done under recruitment manager Ste Mills.

Speaking on the move, Mills said: “Bringing Jordan to the club has been a long time coming, Jordan is a player we have been monitoring for a couple of years now and tried to get when we originally joined the club.

“He is a great size for a front rower and keeps getting better year on year. Jordan will be a great fit for our environment & I am very excited to see how he develops under our coaching team.”

Williams said: “I am honoured to be joining Wakefield Trinity on a two-year deal. The club has enjoyed some impressive success in recent seasons and I believe moving forward we will achieve even more.

“Returning to Super League has been a major goal of mine and I’m proud to have earned this opportunity. I can’t wait to get to work and give everything for this great club.”

His addition means Wakefield’s forward pack next year look very deep with Mike McMeeken leading the line alongside the likes of Ky Rodwell, Caius Faatili, Seth Nikotemo, Caleb Hamlin-Uele, Matty Storton, Isaiah Vagana, Jay Pitts, Tray Lolesio and Jazz Tevaga.
