Coronation Street fans have said who they think will be sent down for Theo Silverton’s because they don’t think it will be his actual killer, Sarah Platt.

As viewers of the ITV soap know, the builder’s lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain on the night of her mum, Lisa Swain’s, wedding to Carla Connor back in April.

It came after an abusive Theo was confirmed among the possible five victims of a murder set to rock the cobbles following a flashforward episode of Corrie in February.

He was put up for the chop alongside Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh and Maggie Driscoll. Eventually, a week after the wedding aired, and following a string of dramatic Corrie episodes, it was revealed that Theo was the one who had been murdered.

It brought an end to his 13-month reign of both physical and mental abuse over his partner, Todd Grimshaw. But a murder investigation was soon launched, with Corrie fans left to guess ‘whodunnit’.

It was soon confirmed that Todd was a suspect, along with George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass and Danielle Silverton.

But as Corrie fans now know, it wasn’t any of the six, as it was Sarah who appeared to deal the blow that sent a drunk Theo tumbling off the scaffolding outside his flat and plummeting to the ground.

The truth of what happened on that fateful night was revealed in a dark flashback, in which Sarah was seen being lured to the flat Theo and Todd shared, before being confronted by the menacing character. When he threatened her, she whacked him over the head with a pole, sending him tumbling off the scaffolding they were standing on.

Shocked, Sarah ended up calling on her former flame, Gary Windass for help, which explained why they had been acting suspiciously for weeks. The secret was only revealed to viewers, with other characters completely unaware of what Sarah and Gary are hiding. Or that was until Sarah confessed to Todd during Thursday’s (June 25) visit to Weatherfield.

But it seems Corrie fans don’t think Sarah will be the one to be sent to prison for Theo’s murder, especially after Todd said he wouldn’t be going to the police as he loved her and couldn’t watch her go down for her crimes.

Taking to Reddit, Key_Bus_1255 asked: “If the show actually goes the route of someone getting deliberately framed for Theo’s murder so that Sarah doesn’t get sent down, who do you think it will be that gets framed and potentially sent down for it??” MulberryDue6697 replied: “Jodie.”

gtripwood commented: “Sarah i think has twigged it was Jodie who knocked her out as Jodie ran off up the stairs realising she’s made a mistake by blurting about the dog. I wonder if she will suddenly disappear and Gary/Sarah will suggest it was her who knocked her and Theo out.”

However, robyrob argued: “I think Kit is going to frame Gary out of spite and Maria is going to blow up his alibi because she still thinks he’s cheating.” ddttm added: “Gary. Or it genuinely could be anyone that the writers think will cause maximum drama…”
