The 10 'Most Wishlisted' Upcoming Xbox Games According To Microsoft

It feels like the folks at Xbox have been putting a lot more emphasis on the “wishlist” feature recently, with the latest Xbox Insider update adding it directly to Game Cards, and a new filter being added to the Xbox Store for it as well.

Thanks to that new filter, we can actually see which games are getting the “most wishlists” across Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, although it’s a jumbled lineup that includes games released multiple years ago, as well as free-to-play titles such as Fortnite and ROBLOX. In other words, it doesn’t tell us much on its own.

With that in mind, we’ve gone through and manually picked out all the upcoming Xbox games that are mentioned in the “most wishlisted” category. If we put them in a top 10 order, they look like this:

Grand Theft Auto VI
Fable
Metro 2039
Halo: Campaign Evolved
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Beast of Reincarnation
State of Decay 3
Stranger Than Heaven
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Minecraft Dungeons 2

Now, there are a couple of caveats here. The first is that some of these games (such as GTA 6 and Halo: Campaign Evolved) appear multiple times, as people seem to have wishlisted various editions for those games. Halo, for example, could quite possibly have made the #2 or #3 spot if you combined its main game page and its Standard Edition pre-order page. The other caveat is that some upcoming Xbox games don’t actually exist on the Microsoft Store yet, so those titles obviously aren’t possible to be wishlisted as things stand.

There are definitely still some surprises here though. The biggest is probably Euro Truck Simulator 2, which was reported back in May to have passed 1 million wishlists across Xbox and PlayStation combined with American Truck Simulator (which also sits just outside the top 10 in this list).

Our teams continue to work hard on bringing Euro Truck Simulator 2 & American Truck Simulator to consoles as soon as possible 🚛🎮

Meanwhile, the likes of Clockwork Revolution, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Star Wars Zero Company and even Gears of War: E-Day are found slightly lower down the lineup. In the case of E-Day, we believe it wasn’t made available to wishlist until earlier this month, so that explains why it hasn’t made the top 10 just yet.

None of this should be taken too seriously, but it’s certainly interesting to see which upcoming Xbox games are getting the most attention on the store right now. Have you added any of these to your wishlist? Come tell us in the comments!
