Hull FC head coach John Cartwright has named his 21-man squad ahead of Saturday’s Super League clash against Leigh Leopards. The Black and Whites boss has made two changes. Jordan Lane is named for the first time since breaking his arm in April. A final call will be made on the back rower after Saturday’s team run.
The same call will be made for half-back and captain Aidan Sezer, who keeps his place. The Hull skipper was named in last week’s squad prior to last Sunday’s clash against Salford Red Devils but missed the game with a shoulder issue.
That issue doesn’t require surgery, with scans determining that Sezer can play on. He is understood to be within a good chance of featuring. Will Gardiner is the second change.
Elsewhere, Ed Chamberlain drops out. The 29-year-old has a rib injury and will be out for at least this week. Jack Charles also makes way.
On the injury front, Jordan Rapana has been ruled out again by a specialist after failing his HIA against Huddersfield at the end of last month. Hull also remain without Liam Knight (ankle), Ligi Sao (knee), Brad Fash (hamstring), Will Hutchinson (ankle), Will Kirby (unknown), and Roman Dawson (ACL).
Hull squad: 2. Harvey Barron, 3. Zak Hardaker, 5. Tom Briscoe, 6. Will Pryce, 7. Aidan Sezer, 8. Herman Ese’ese, 9. Amir Bourouh, 11. Jed Cartwright, 12. Jordan Lane, 13. John Asiata, 14. Cade Cust, 16. Yusuf Aydin, 17. Jack Ashworth, 20. Davy Litten, 21. Will Gardiner, 22. Lewis Martin, 23. Logan Moy, 27. Matty Laidlaw, 34. Lloyd Kemp, 39. Sam Eseh, 41. Liam Watts
