A woman who stole valuables from homes she was house sitting to fund a “lavish lifestyle” has been jailed.

Ariana Rose, 40, of London, was employed as a house sitter at properties in Shipston-on-Stour and Southam, Warwickshire, in 2025.

While working, she took items including jewellery worth more than £35,000 and replaced them with fakes. Before they discovered her theft, one of her victims praised her and said she made them a meal and a cake for when they returned from holiday.

Det Con Stather, of Warwickshire Police, said Rose lived a lavish lifestyle, funded by the things she stole from her victims. She was convicted of multiple offences and jailed for five years.

Warwickshire Police said she was employed as a house sitter through an online service, working at the home in Shipston-on-Stour in May 2025 and at the one in Southam in July 2025.
