La Voix, who has also competed on Britain’s Got Talent and Queen of the Universe, as well as serving as a mentor on Queens for the Night, said she had “never really been a children’s person”.
But she said she “adores” her younger co-stars in the musical.
“The children in the show are so talented and so amazing and they really are the stars of tomorrow and I’m loving working with them,” she said.
“It’s lovely to see your favourite nostalgic children’s film come to life.”
Reflecting on her time on Strictly, La Voix said her dancing partner Aljaž Škorjanec “might have been slightly relieved” when she left the show due to injury.
“He [had to] put up with me for a lot of weeks,” she said.
“But you know, I adored that time on that show – what a way to really get to grips with the demon that is dance.”
