Bilal, who has been attending the club regularly for over three years, said: “It’s been good for all of us lads because we’ve just been training, working hard, fighting and just getting away from all the negative stuff that’s out there.
“It’s been really good for us.”
Jack, another regular at Solid Impact, said that it had helped him in various important aspects of his life.
He insisted: “It’s taught me discipline, commitment and it’s just helped me as a person overall.”

All the lads we spoke to emphasised the importance of their head coach Dean Hunt, when it came to their many successes since joining the club.
Zulkif said: “I’ve been here since the end of 2023 and I’ve had all my fights with the gym.
“I’ve had seven fights; one loss but six wins, and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Deano.”
Finally, Jenson said: “I joined here two years ago, and I’ve learned a lot of stuff here.
“I’ve won quite a few fights and I’ve had a title bout.
“I won that, and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Deano and the team.”
And Hunt’s own son, Lucas, often joins his dad in working out at Solid Impact.
He fights out of Rourkey’s Gym and has just won the Yorkshire title at his weight category.
