Man United forward Marcus Rashford has spoken about his future while away with England at the World Cup.

Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford insists he was “very clear” that his future should be decided after the World Cup once a move failed to materialise before the tournament. Rashford joined Barcelona on loan last summer after being cut adrift in the so-called ‘bomb squad’ under previous head coach Ruben Amorim.
This loan included a £26m option to buy at the end of the season. After Rashford scored 14 goals and bagged 14 assists for Barcelona, it was expected that they would activate this clause. Instead, they opted to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle for £69.3m.
The clause’s deadline has since passed and United are not willing to discuss a revised deal with Barcelona. Speaking to journalists before England flew out to Mexico City for their round of 16 clash, Rashford insisted all talk of his domestic career must be put on hold.

“I was very clear with everyone involved before the World Cup, I wanted it (a move) done before,” he said. “If it’s not, I wanted it to wait until after. I want to be fully present in the moment. We’re fighting for something special.”
It is understood positive talks have been held between United and Rashford’s camp. Should a transfer not be arranged before he is due to return to Carrington, Rashford is expected to train with the first team ahead of the new season.
United players are set to report for pre-season training on July 9. However, those who have participated at the World Cup will be given a break after the tournament.
The Reds have confirmed returns from the World Cup will be staggered over July and August. United’s first competitive fixture will be on August 22 at newly-promoted Hull City.
