Durty Events will stage two participation events across August 8 and 9 with the Selkirk Gravel Classic taking place on the Saturday and the Bowhill Trail Weekender event the following day.
The company, which also delivers the Keswick Mountain Festival, has previously organised a number of events in the Borders, including a duathlon at Bowhill Estate and large-scale cycling fixtures.
Founder Paul McGreal said the latest weekend forms part of a longer-term vision.
“We’ve been working in the Scottish Borders for a number of years and have always believed it has huge potential as a destination for outdoor sport,” he said.
“This weekend is part of a wider ambition to build something that really celebrates the region in the long term.”
The Selkirk Gravel Classic will start from Selkirk Rugby Club on Saturday, offering three signed routes of 35km, 52km and 65km on a non-competitive, social basis.
On Sunday, Bowhill Estate will host trail runs over 5km, 10km, 25km and 50km, aimed at both newcomers and experienced runners.
Mr McGreal said accessibility was central to the events, adding: “We don’t want these events to feel exclusive or intimidating. They’re designed to be welcoming, social and achievable, whether it’s your first event or something you do regularly.”
Entries are now open, with individuals, clubs and groups invited to take part.
