EAT Cycling shop in Main Street welcomed former professional rider and team manager Brian Smith for an evening described by organisers as “an amazing night”.
Smith, who has had an incredible cycling career on two wheels, spoke about a career spanning decades at the top level of cycling.
His achievements include winning the British Road Race Championship twice, competing at the Olympic Games and riding on the World Tour before moving into management at the highest level of the sport.
He later became a familiar voice to fans as a cycling commentator on Eurosport and TNT Sports.
During the event, Smith offered insight into his experiences in professional cycling before taking questions from those in attendance.
Organisers thanked him for his time, praising his openness and willingness to share stories from throughout his career.
