Bristol City have signed defender Lisav Eissat on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance and visa approval.
Able to operate as a centre-back and a left-back, the 21-year-old joins City on a deal until 2030.
Eissat is City’s fifth signing of the summer and boosts Michael Skubala’s options in defence.
On adding to the group ahead of City’s training camp in Spain, First Team Manager Skubala said: “It is really pleasing to bolster our defence, especially with a player who can play more than one position.
“This experience of English football will be good for him.”
The defender made his senior international debut for Romania in October 2025 and currently has four caps to his name.
Eissat said on his first day at City: “I am looking forward to it. I have followed the Championship and Premier League football a lot and I like the intensity and the style, which is like my playing style.
“I am an aggressive and fast defender and ready to jump in. I am ready to give everything for the club.”
Sporting Director James Ellis added: “Bringing Lisav to Bristol City is to help us improve squad depth, versatility, physicality and potential of the back line.
“We felt in the squad build it was important we addressed the challenges the group had last year, especially with robustness and availability.
