ScotRail have urged passengers planning to travel on services between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal to plan ahead.

All trains have been cancelled on a busy Glasgow railway line this weekend as commuters are told to experience travel chaos.
ScotRail services running between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal have been scrapped from Saturday, July 11 until Monday, July 13. The line closure is due to draining works.
The rail operator have asked passengers to plan ahead before travelling as they offer alternate train services through the nearby Paisley Gilmour Street or via Maxwell Park at no extra cost. Tickets valid from Paisley Canal can also be used on McGill’s 38 / 38A buses via Paisley Road West.
A ScotRail spokesperson wrote on X: “Our Paisley Canal line is closed until Monday 13th, July 2026 due to drainage works meaning no services will operate between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal.
“Rail tickets can be used at no extra cost on McGill’s 38 / 38A buses between Paisley and Glasgow.”
