England midfielder Jordan Henderson speaking to ITV: “It is the same thing that we showed in the last game, the resilience and character that we showed, there was a lot of challenges and obstacles that we had to overcome. We have to do the same again today against a very good Norwegian side, they have a lot of good players, tough test for us, but if we are the best version of ourselves I am confident we can get through.”

On facing Haaland: “It is a challenge, he is one of the best in the world, but they have also got other top, top players. Like I said we have to concentrate on ourselves , do our job and hopefully that is enough to get us through to the semi-final.”

On his broken arm: “It’s alright thanks. Not my finest hour I know but like you said, the main job was to go there and win and progress to the quarter-final and we managed to do that.

“It’s been a tough couple of days but it was ok as soon as I came back to camp and saw the lads. We’ve got a great medical team, I’m thankful for that, and the doctors and surgeons in Kansas were amazing too, so I’m grateful for that, and I am delighted to be part of the squad again today.”
