Gold Coast Titans prop Jaimin Jolliffe could be on the verge of departing the NRL, with Huddersfield Giants reported to have offered him a long-term deal.
Jolliffe has been out for the entire 2026 campaign so far, after snapping his ACL in pre-season that forced him to have a knee reconstruction.
As a result, he will miss pretty much the full season, especially given that the Titans are expected to miss the finals.
With no contract lined up for season 2027, The Australian is reporting that Huddersfield could be the 29-year-old’s next destination, and it would mean a reunion with a boss Jim Lenihan.
Lenihan was the assistant coach of the Titans for a number of years, meaning the two worked together prior to Lenihan’s switch to the UK. The Giants boss is keen to add players he already knows to his side, with back rower Zane Dunford recently joining the club from Brisbane Tigers.
Huddersfield are said to have tabled a three-year deal for the enforcer, but given the recent ACL blow, a contract of that length comes with huge risks. Recruitment is something that the Giants need to get right as they enter the first full recruitment window under Lenihan.
Jolliffe is somewhat familiar to UK shores, having represented Ireland at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup. He played in two games that tournament, starting at prop on both occasions.
