The UK’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is set to lose grant funding for climate finance projects to help fund a cap on bus fares in the country under plans announced by new prime minister Andy Burnham. The move will see £454 million ($607 million; €532 million) in funding originally earmarked for international climate finance converted into loans for the projects.
