Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Fans of Emmerdale have shared a third theory surrounding the paternity of Charity Dingle’s unborn baby.
Pub landlady Charity recently learned that she’s pregnant after agreeing to have a baby for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden and her boyfriend Jacob Gallagher.
Following a successful embryo transfer, Charity’s pregnancy was confirmed, though not before another spanner was thrown in the works.
After Charity’s pregnancy was announced, it was then revealed that she had secretly hooked up with Ross Barton, leading her to question the paternity of the child, despite telling Ross it absolutely wasn’t his.
Taking to Facebook following the Ross twist, fans shared their thoughts on the paternity of the baby, saying they think Charity’s husband Mackenzie Boyd could be the unborn child’s father.

Commenting below a clip of Ross and Charity, one fan said: “Bet it turns out to be [Mack’s].”
“Must be [Mack’s]? Not seen this part yet,” penned another, while one viewer questioned: “Is it Mack’s or Ross’s? Either way I think the embryo didn’t take because she was already pregnant.”
“I bet it turns out to be non identical twins making it impossible for both to be biologically Sarah’s. So either one of them or none will be Sarah’s babies,” wrote another viewer.
“I’m confused now wondering who is the father of Charity’s baby, I’m hoping Mack is,” said one hopeful fan.

One viewer said: “Emmerdale throws in a massive curveball yet again!! Did not see that coming, thought it was gonna be Mack’s baby. This storyline just got a whole lot more interesting.”
Another wrote: “I actually thought that the baby would turn out to be Mack’s”, while one soap fan said: “Still thinking it is [Mack’s], Because they had a little [thing] before the implant. Think Ross is a red herring.”
“Oh no, imagine if it was [Mack’s]… he would be over the moon and would have to give a baby to Sarah.. DRAMA,” wrote one excited viewer.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
