The launch event, attended by Andover MP Kit Malthouse, highlighted the club’s continued development as a thriving community sports hub.
Guests gathered to watch the ribbon cutting before players took to the courts to showcase the fast-growing sport, which is rapidly gaining popularity across the UK.
Founded in 1936, the club has evolved from a small local facility into a modern venue offering a wide range of opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.
Alongside its established tennis provision, including indoor and floodlit outdoor courts, the addition of padel represents a significant investment in the club’s future.
Speaking at the event, Mr Malthouse praised the club’s role in bringing people together, promoting active lifestyles and creating opportunities for new friendships.
Members, volunteers and supporters were out in force to celebrate the occasion, reflecting the strong community spirit that has underpinned the club for nine decades.
The new courts are expected to attract both new and existing players, ensuring the club continues to grow for years to come.
