Test Valley Borough Council has announced that the free sessions will take place every Sunday from 10am to 11am, welcoming people of all ages and abilities.
The initiative aims to encourage more people to pick up a racket, whether they are complete beginners or returning to the sport.
A council spokesperson said: “Looking for a free way to get active, meet people and enjoy some time outdoors? Barclays Free Parks Tennis sessions are taking place every Sunday at Vigo Recreation Ground from 10am to 11am.”
They added the sessions are “friendly, informal and open to everyone, whatever your age or ability”.
From Sunday, July 26, additional coached sessions for children will also be introduced as part of the Kickstart programme.
These include sessions for four to seven-year-olds from 11am to 12pm, followed by sessions for eight to 11-year-olds from 12pm to 1pm.
All activities will be held at Vigo Recreation Ground in Andover and are free to attend, with places available to book online through the Lawn Tennis Association.
