The beauty behind “each Spider-Man [red carpet] look has had its own thought process”, Moreno explains. The brief in London on Wednesday was a nostalgic “Victorian/Biba hybrid – something romantic yet current,” he adds. “We started the look by prepping a textured U-part wig using the No98 Beauty Hydra Bond Shampoo & Conditioner to soften and hydrate the human hair unit.” Next, Moreno used No98’s new Glass Anti-Frizz Hydration to saturate the entire hairpiece, before layering on generous amounts of the brand’s Gloss Miracle Oil. This helped keep the look in place all night.
In the middle of the process, Moreno “braided the [wig] unit into about 10 large braids and let the hair dry under a hooded dryer.” This, he says, needed to be completely dry before moving on to the last step. To finish the look, Moreno “unravelled each braid [while] deeply brushing each section until it was frizzed out”. The same steps were applied to Zendaya’s leave-out (the front and top section of her natural hair), which allowed each tress to blend seamlessly. The goal? “Undone,” Moreno concludes.

Over on make-up, longtime Zendaya collaborator Ernesto Casillas also leaned into romance, focusing on flawless and minimal skin “contrasted with a pop of colour to flush the cheeks and a soft eye”. Casillas made it all happen with Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Beauty Blush Wand in Pillow Talk and Exagger-Eyes Volume Mascara and Easy Eyeshadow Stick in Mink Sculpt.
