Shoppers are raving about an ‘incredibly powerful’ fan amid the continuing heatwaves. The Air Pro 20″ Floor Fan is currently available on both Yimbly, an online marketplace owned by this site’s parent company, Reach Plc, and Amazon, giving shoppers options.
It’s available on Yimbly for £98.99, down from £109.99, by applying the discount code SUMMER10 at checkout, or for £109.99 on Amazon, but there are additional colours, not just black and silver. Shoppers have described it as ‘excellent’ and ‘a godsend’ in hot weather and a healthcare worker said that it had helped them to keep nurses and carers cool at work.
On Yimbly, it says the fan offers three speed settings, with the ability to choose from low, medium and high. It also has an adjustable fan head with a tilt function of up to 160 degrees, allowing users to customise their experience.
It features an integrated carry handle, making it easy to transport around, and the site says it generates a strong airflow that quickly circulates throughout a space. There are simple controls for ease of use and ‘no complicated menus or confusing instructions’.
For an alternative, at Debenhams, the Quipulse Portable USB Tower Fan has been reduced to £39.99 from £44.99. It has a remote control and is described as ‘low noise’ for those who are light sleepers.

It is telling that when we last looked, a large number of fans on the Argos website are out of stock. On the Shark|Ninja website, however, we found the Shark ChillPill 3-in-1 Fan, Mist and InstaChill System with Travel Case. It is a bit pricier at £149.99 but is very portable, and one buyer described it as a ‘small device with big cooling power’.
Reviewers on Amazon have been enthusiastic about the Air Pro 20″ Floor Fan and one woman, who bought the fan just before the June heatwave, had a great tip for users: “I couldn’t have managed without it. Incredibly powerful high velocity fan. Also lightweight to carry around.
“I stood it on my bedroom windowsill in front of an open window so it pulled in the cooler air at night into the room. It worked almost like air conditioning making a huge difference. During the day it was just as good.”
A review on the Yimbly site said: “This 20″ floor fan has been a godsend during this hot weather. I’ve had floor fans before that have circulated warm air.
