The exhibition features eight acrylic-on-canvas signed works, each measuring 76cm by 76cm (30in by 30in).

“My artwork reflects a variety of subjects such as old boats, broken barns and timeworn Scottish crofts in a vibrant and contemporary way,” he said.

“Crumbling and weather-distressed subjects may seem a sad sight but their flaking paint, exposed wood and stonework bring a variety of colour and attraction. There’s a beauty in their continued existence, reminding us of a way of life, a past history or even a holiday memory.”

The exhibition will be on display at The Weaverbird Workshop, 6 Wells Road, Ilkley, LS29 9JD.

The venue is open Monday to Saturday from 10am until 4pm.
