According to Crosscountry, the incident has been cleared and lines have re-opened. However, there may be further disruption while train companies deal with knock-on effects from the incident.
“CLEARED: Following on from the emergency services dealing with an incident between Exeter St David’s and Newton Abbot all lines have now reopened,” Crosscountry wrote in a post on X. “Services are returning to normal although there may still be some cancellations or delays of a result of crew and unit displacement.”
The GWR website now also reports good service on most of its network.
