Michael Carrick took his pre-season win record to 66 per cent as Manchester United came from behind to beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm. The club had won one and lost one before heading to Sweden to face the La Liga giants, but put on a decent performance to ensure victory. A frustrating first half saw United go behind to an accidental goal as Arnau Ortiz’s cross went untouched and floated in at the far post. United had chances aplenty to equalise but squandered a number of presentable chances and trailed at the break.
