The unit, on Edgefield Road in Briston near Fakenham, is vacant following the store’s closure several years ago.
Plans have now been lodged by Mr N Leeding to convert the site into a two-bed property.
This would be spread across two storeys and also feature a kitchen, dining room, study, and living room.
External alterations have also been planned – including the removal of the shopfront and installation of a new front door, entrance door, rear door and brickwork.

A design and access statement said the retail use in the location was “unviable” and described the building in its current state as “redundant”.
It added: “This proposal represents a highly sustainable development that successfully secures the long-term future of a prominent local asset through a sensitive residential conversion.
“By transforming a long term vacant commercial unit into a high quality, two-bedroom home with a dedicated study, the project directly resolves an isolated commercial nonconformity within a predominantly residential neighbourhood”.
