Dressed in a sparkling Union Jack mini dress and thigh-high boots, Hilton leaned into the camp spectacle, sipping from a rhinestone-covered Stanley cup as she made her way through a set featuring covers of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream and Madonna’s Like a Virgin.

Around 20 minutes in, she disappeared from the stage, leaving her troupe of male dancers to perform alongside montages of classic noughties-style footage, including clips of Hilton on a beach in a leopard-print bikini and posing with a unicorn beneath a rainbow.

Fans anticipated a dramatic costume change when she reappeared, but she returned in the same outfit, accessorised with bedazzled sunglasses and a pink feather boa.

After a second brief exit, she came back to perform her signature hit Stars Are Blind, prompting one of the biggest singalongs of the afternoon.

Among those enjoying the performance were Brighton friends Meghan, Freya and Luce, who said they loved seeing Hilton at Pride despite it feeling “so random”.

Hilton closed the show in a burst of confetti, telling the crowd: “Remember, everyone is a princess! Love you, icons!”
